Plastic barrel printing process

The respective advantages of silk screen printing, thermal transfer printing and film sticking

Comparison of the printing effect of silk screen printing and thermal transfer printing

1. Silk screen printinga traditional printing technique, by smearing ink on the surface of the plastic barrel and blocking the non-printing area with the help of a screen screen, so that the ink can only be printed on the barrel through the mesh. It is easy to operate and inexpensive, making it ideal for high-volume production. However, the printing effect of silk screen printing is relatively rough, and it is difficult to meet the printing needs of fine patterns.

2. Thermal transfer printinga process that transfers the film printed with the pattern to the surface of the plastic barrel through heat and pressure. It delivers crisp and vivid prints, making it easy to print both intricate patterns and photorealistic images. In addition, the inks used in thermal transfer printing not only have excellent adhesion and abrasion resistance, but also have excellent water and chemical resistance. However, it should be noted that the barrel body will be left blank during the heat transfer process, which may affect the overall appearance to a certainextent.

3. IML  process
IML is a unique process that involves a beautifully pre-printed film attached to the outer wall of the plastic bucket, followed by a high temperature and pressure environment to make the pattern on the film perfectly blend with the surface of the plastic bucket. The result is extremely clear printing and vivid color expression. Thanks to the heavy film used in the film, it has excellent abrasion resistance and scratch resistance. In addition, the process is simple and efficient, making it ideal for large-scale production needs. However, the disadvantage of the in-film sticker lies in its device casting.
